Xiaohuang Dong village is 22km away from Congjiang, nearly 14kms is the sandy road though zigzag path on mountains, so the bus trip from Congjiang is about 1 hour. Because the road is too narrow, only car and bus less than 22 seats can reach the village. Of course, the 29 seat bus can get to the village if the driver and tourists are brave, but this is not encouraged.

　　Xiaohuang is the Home of Dong songs which is already known both at home and abroad. In the village, everything needs songs, everywhere waves songs. During festivals, people sing songs for congratulations, song is also a way to know each other among the young men and women, thus named " Home of Dong Songs".

　　The Dong song in Xiaohuang is varied with beautiful sound and rich contents, and the tunes are various. There are differents kind of songs such as big song, love song, cicada song, Pipa song and the like, Pipa is a kind of musical instrument used by the Dong.

　　Some of the villagers have been to the big cities of China and other coutries demonstrating their songs, hence " songs from the heaven".

　　But there are still lots of beautiful Dong villages which are more accessible by bus, so I recommend Xiaohuang to adventure trallers and packpackers, the common tourists who make the tour with travel agency can visit Yintan, Zhaoxing, Tang'an Dong villages.
