Nachan
Village
If you meet the market in the Zhenfeng, you will see a lot of
Buyi women in beautiful traditional dress. Some are purchasing,
some are selling textiles. The market is full of interests and great
fun.
In Zhenfeng, most villages are Buyi villages, and there are
Buyi villages worth a visit. Nachan village is recmmended.
Nachan village is just about 9 kms from Zhenfeng, a very small
and bad road can reach the village by bus. Nachan village is located
in the flat area surrounded by small hills, the scenery around it
is so beautiful. Some hills, rice fields make a beautiful picture
of the village.
Nachan is a Buyi village where live more than 250 families.
During the festival occasions such as " March 3rd", "
June 6th", the Buyi people in festival dress sing folk songs.
The women's daily dress is beautiful too, they weave the cloth from
cotton on looms by themselves, thus their costume show a taste of
local stylished flavor and feature. On sunny days during the slack
seasons, you may see the local Buyi women spinning, weaving in the
village entrance or in the empty fields of the village.
The villagers here are hospitable too, they are singers and
musicians, so a performance can be arranged if need.
